Food Allergy
If you note any food allergy reaction whenever you or your love ones ate certain food ... from rashes, cough to asthma and anaphylactic reaction ... confirm it with an allergy test ... besides taking food allergen off the recipe and menu ... you need to ensure that there are no cross contamination from the worktop to equipments used ... read labels of packaged products ... unsured don't use ... it can be life threatening for someone with severe allergy and anaphylactic reaction.
Apple Crumble
Ingredients
- 4 large cooking apples
- 1 clove or cinnamon stick / powder
- 150g sugar

- 100 g white sugar
- 200 g plain white flour
- 120 g butter
Procedure
- peel and core the apples ... dice them into chunks ... put the apple chunks into a pan ... add 150g of the sugar, the cinnamon or clove stick / powder ... cover.
- stew gently for 30 mins ... stirring occasionally ... can easily burn at the beginning ... Check apples is cooked by mashing it a bit ... apples should be soft but not puréed.
- put the apples into the serving dish and allow to cool.
- mix the white flour, 100 g sugar and the butter with your fingers in a bowl ...until crumb like consistency.
- set the temperature of the oven to 150ºC (300ºF/ gas mark 2).
- cover the stewed apples with the crumbs topping, without pressing down.
- bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the crumbs is golden brown and crunchy.
- Spoon a helping of apple crumble into a dish and serve with cream or ice cream.
